  • Saturday Worm Tour - Worm Saturdays only at 5:00 p.m.: Gazebo
    For adults and children, a 45 minute Introductory Tour ....$10 per head, $25 for a family.  This tour includes introduction to the different worm bins and how to use them  and then visiting the worm raising areas integrated with the animal manure management.

  • Animal Feeding Tour - Every day at 6:00 p.m. (summer): 
    For adults and children, a 45 minute  Tour ....$10 per head, $25 for a family.  This tour is a quick familiarization with what we do special at Olomana Gardens with a focus on the evening feeding of the animals along the way, including feeding the Koi  in the fish pond and and Tilapia in the various Aquaponics systems, tour the horse area (Baby, Dolcezza, Sygnet and Andreesa), see worm casting tumbler, tour the farm papaya garden, & tour the animal farm with chickens, ducks, geese and goats (Trudy, Little Sister, Marty, Charlie, and Brown Sugar).

Animal Feeding Tour, One Person ($10)
  • Animal Feeding Tour, Family, 6 p.m. Summer (2 adults & up to 3 children) ($25)
Educational / Hands on tour (Prefer two or more people, $25 per person per hour, accompanying child, $10 per hour) , is all the above, plus we actually run the equipment and harvest food, go into the animal cages and pull out worms. This is for the serious gardener, who wants to learn about Organic gardening, Biointensive, square foot gardening, Permaculture and sustainable farm practices.   Call 259-0223 to schedule date and time.

Introduction to Aquaponics, • 1.5 hours, $50 per person,  spouse $25

Most Saturdays on a pre-registered, pre-paid basis  • 3:00 p.m.  (class may be rescheduled  to another date if less than 4 people).  Please note, if Saturday schedule is not convenient, custom private classes can be scheduled on weekday afternoons for groups of four or more.

Aquaponics, combining agriculture and aquaculture, is a great way to grow lettuce and leafy vegetables, and other vegetables, quickly. Combining fish culture and hydroponic growing in an integrated ecosystem, the fish provide nutrients for your vegetables, which in turn filter the water that the fish live in, a mutually beneficial
arrangement. Classroom lecture on history, design and chemisty of Aquaponics.

Hands on Assembly of Aquaponic PRE-CUT Black Tray System • 1.5 hrs, 4:30 p.m. $50/person for the class; spouse $25.  If participants want to continue after class, it's $25/hour/person.  Reservation/payment must be made 48 hours prior to class.

Learn the basics to build a backyard aquaponic system that recirculates effluent from a fish tank (or pond), runs it through a bio-filter to remove suspended solids, through the ebb-flow or continous flow beds where plants are grown, and back to your tank or pond.  

Students put together a system that has been pre-fabricated. Students assemble all piping, siphons and pumps per plans. Fill with water and operate system to experience EXTERNAL siphon and drain
of cinder and float bed aquaponic system. 1.5 hours

We sell by the pound, with each pound only $40 for Worm Club and Tour Takers, and there is no minimum.
$60/ pound for non members or un-toured novices.  (HI State Excise Tax added to purchase price).

  • InterIsland worms. We ship to the Neighbor Island , with a minimum order $300, which includes five pounds of "bed run" , inspection fees and delivery to the airport and packaging. We ship via Aloha Air Freight, COD and you pick them up at the airport at your end.

  • Can-of-Worms This is the most popular worm bin we have ever seen. It is
    well designed and strong. We discount them and sell the complete unit for $225 (i.e., $236 including HI State Excise Tax)

  • Can-of-Worms with Delivery and Setup, $375.   Can-of-Worms is $225 plus a delivery and setup charge of  $150 (i.e., $393 including HI State Excise Tax). Ask us why setup can be helpful for your first time. The Worms are sold separately. We recommend two to four pounds of "bed run".


    Worm Factory (original). Smaller than the Can-Of-Worms, and therefore we can sell it for less than most store locations, but shipping costs to get the product to Hawaii have increased, so we have had to increase the price. to $125 plus HI State Excise Tax

    The new Worm Factory 360  is a standard four tray system which is a redesigned version of the original, with an improved circulation, lid, ease of assembly and expandability up to 8 trays.  Price is $175  plus HI State Excise Tax.

    • Azolla, Half Gallon, $10.  Azolla is a nitrogen fixing fern which can be grown in a pond or aquaponic growing tank and can be used to supplement feed for tilapia, chickens, pigs and goats.  Per article from Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR), azolla contains a significant amount of protein which is suitable for feeding to animals such as pigs.  Chickens love it and often eat it before they eat scratch feed.
    • Soil blocks premade for only 50 cents per piece. Ready for seeding.

    POGS   Pre-assembled, , biointensive POG (pallet organic garden) mini-farms delivered to your location on Oahu, for residential or farm food production. POGs can be fixed-sided or collapsible for easy transportation. POGs are raised bed gardens, built on plastic shipping pallets to make them portable. Some examples are shown below.  Top ledge ($150) and worm tube (see above) are optional extras.    HI State Excise Tax is added to all POG purchases.
